I am building a vBulletin forum to replace a very very active forum that uses COM+ and SQL Server. The old forum has been hell on the server and I am hoping vBulletin will be less bandwidth and less hell on the server load. The existing forum uses Connection Pooling and I am wondering if setting the config.php to use persistent connections is going to do more harm than good. What are your thoughts/recommendations on this?do a search for posts by me on persistent connections you should find your answer pretty easily :)#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
